Images range from those of people laughing at a gala or enjoying a day out at the races, to pictures of families fighting to make the best of life in the face of adversity. The emphasis throughout is on ordinary people actually living - at work and at home, at peace and at war, in worship and celebration, during quiet moments of contemplation and at times of great excitement.
